August 2009.- Concord Supply, Inc. received the patent pending rights for it's new product corrugated plastic ring for the protection of the inside diameter of steel coils against crane hook impacts, unique in it's kind and capable of resisting pressure, compresion and puntures therefore protecting the coil sides.

January 2009.- After a large investment Concord started operations of it's new extrusion coating and laminating line with the capacity of producing rolls up to 154" wide being one of the widest extrusion coating and laminating lines in the world. This new line is allowing Concord to produce a very wide range of products with up to three different substrates in the same run.

January 2008.- Concord Packaging de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. inagurated it's new and modern production line to fabricate plastic ID's and OD's protectors for the steel industry as well as edge protectors.

PATENTED PRODUCT. This material was designed for marine packing. The outer layer is resistant to the friction, and the internal layer is resistant to the elongation, reason why it offers better protection.
In case of rupture, the internal film continues protecting the metal and directs the humidity towards the low part of the package by capillarity.

The width of the paper for roll packaging is determined bythe width of the coil and the inside diameter. Some common sizes are outlined by the following chart:

OD- outside diameter
ID- inside diameter
W- wide coil
O- overlap
EO- eye coil overlap
WP- wide paper
WP= W+(OD-ID)+2*EO
Length required=3.1416*OD + O

* The EO considered is about 6", but this is optional.

* The ID considered is of 20".
